President-elect Donald Trump celebrated his recent election victory at a UFC championship fight in New York on Saturday night. Trump “walked out to a roaring standing ovation” before the pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden, according to The Associated Press.

UFC’s official account on X shared a photo and video of Trump alongside UFC CEO Dana White, a longtime supporter, as well as allies like Elon Musk, whom Trump has chosen to co-lead a government efficiency department, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), and singer Kid Rock.

“President @RealDonaldTrump in the building for #UFC309,” the post read, referring to the heavyweight championship fight.

During the event, a video titled “The Great Comeback in American History” played, while Trump briefly danced to the Village People’s “YMCA” and raised his fist as “Takin’ Care of Business” played in the background.

Trump also greeted the UFC broadcast team, including Joe Rogan, who had hosted him on his podcast ahead of Election Day. Musk, Johnson, and former GOP primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also shared their attendance at the event on social media.

Longtime Trump aide Margo Martin shared a video early Sunday on the social platform X, showing President-elect Donald Trump with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. In the clip, Jones, who had just defeated Stipe Miocic to retain his title, presented his championship belt to Trump.

UFC CEO Dana White, a vocal supporter of Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, stood by Trump’s side during his official acceptance speech for the presidency.

“Nobody deserves this more than him, and nobody deserves this more than his family,” White said during the event. “This is what happens when the machine comes after you.”
