Connections is the latest New York Times word game that has captured the public's attention. The goal is to identify the "common threads between words." If you’re eager for today’s solution, you can skip ahead to the end of the article. But if you prefer to solve it on your own, keep reading for some helpful clues, tips, and strategies.

What is Connections?

The NYT's latest daily word game has taken social media by storm. Developed by associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, Connections was introduced to the Times' Games section. The game challenges players to group four words that share a common link and can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words, which must be sorted into four categories. These groups can include anything from book titles and software to country names, and more. While several words may seem to belong together, there is only one correct solution for each grouping.

When a player correctly groups all four words in a set, those words are removed from the board. However, if a player makes an incorrect guess, it counts as a mistake. Players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game ends.

Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to help identify connections more easily. Each group is color-coded for difficulty, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can also share your results with friends on social media.
