"Josh Allen Makes NFL History Despite Buffalo Bills' Thrilling Loss to Los Angeles Rams"

"Despite 44-42 Loss to Rams, Josh Allen Makes NFL History with Unprecedented Performance"

In a thrilling 44-42 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen etched his name in NFL history.

The 28-year-old made a groundbreaking achievement, becoming the first player in NFL history to record three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a single game.

Allen passed for 342 yards, including touchdown throws of 41, 51, and 21 yards, and rushed for 82 yards with three 1-yard touchdown runs. Despite the record-setting performance, the Bills suffered their first loss in over two months, with their last defeat coming on October 6 against the Houston Texans.

Allen orchestrated a stunning comeback after the Bills trailed 38-21 entering the fourth quarter. Using both his arm and legs, he brought the Bills within striking distance, cutting the Rams’ lead to 38-35 with just over eight minutes remaining.

However, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who passed for 320 yards, led an almost seven-minute drive that ended with a 19-yard touchdown to Puka Nacua, extending the Rams' lead to 44-35, despite a missed extra point.

But Allen wasn’t done yet. The two-time Pro Bowler quickly led a 54-second drive following the kickoff, capped by his third rushing touchdown of the game to make it 44-42.

Ultimately, the Rams recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock, securing their first win over Buffalo since 2012.

"Bills and Rams Combine for 86 Points in Offensive Showdown; Josh Allen Reflects on 'Total Team Loss'"

Both teams delivered an offensive spectacle, combining for 86 points, 902 yards, and 12 total touchdowns in a thrilling contest.

After the game, a disappointed Josh Allen spoke to reporters, acknowledging that the loss was a “total team loss in all three phases” but taking responsibility for the outcome.

“Hate losing,” Allen said. “You lose by two, you lose by 100 – it don’t matter. You’re still losing. Offensively, we’ve got to find a way to score before the half and score after the half, so we didn’t do our part either.”

Despite his historic individual performance, Allen’s effort wasn’t enough to secure the win. However, his fantasy football output may have pleased those in the virtual world. Allen’s 51.88 fantasy points set a record for the most by a quarterback since at least 1950, according to NFL Fantasy Football.

The Bills’ loss drops their record to 10-3, but they had already clinched the AFC East division with their victory over the San Francisco 49ers the previous week in snowy conditions.

Looking ahead, the Bills will face the NFC-leading Detroit Lions in a crucial matchup next week in Detroit.
