San Diego, California — Syracuse defensive end Fadil Diggs will miss the Holiday Bowl matchup against Washington State.
A spokesperson for Syracuse confirmed that Diggs is "unavailable" to play, though there are no visible signs of an injury.
Diggs was seen on the Syracuse sideline wearing a white jersey and no pads, similar to several other Orange players who were visibly injured.
Diggs was one of Syracuse's top defensive performers this season, leading the team with 7.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss, while also recording 45 tackles.
He is one of four Syracuse players invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl, a prestigious event for NFL Draft prospects.
