The team behind Pushpa 2: The Rule announced on social media that the film has grossed ₹1705 crore worldwide in just 21 days. To celebrate the milestone, they shared a new poster featuring Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, captioned:
“THE HIGHEST GROSSER OF INDIAN CINEMA IN 2024 continues to topple records. #Pushpa2TheRule is the FASTEST INDIAN FILM EVER to collect 1700 CRORES with a gross of 1705 CRORES WORLDWIDE in 21 days.”

Pushpa 2 grossed over ₹1002 crore worldwide within just six days of its release. The film surpassed the ₹1400 crore mark in 11 days and reached ₹1508 crore by day 14. As it concludes its third week, it has crossed the ₹1700 crore mark, raising anticipation about whether it will surpass ₹1788 crore to beat Baahubali 2.

CM Revanth Reddy Meets Telugu Film Industry

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with representatives from the Telugu film industry on Thursday. Producer Dil Raju, who has recently been appointed as the chairman of Telangana’s Film Development Corporation (FDC), facilitated the meeting. Following the discussions, Dil Raju clarified to the press that topics such as benefit shows and ticket price hikes were not on the agenda, although the recent stampede related to Pushpa 2 was briefly addressed. He emphasized that the meeting focused on initiatives to make Hyderabad an "international film hub." The meeting was also attended by Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, and several directors and producers.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Stampede Case

The Telangana police have filed a case against the management of Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad and Allu Arjun following a stampede-like incident at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4. The tragic event resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi, while her young son, Sri Teja, was hospitalized in critical condition. Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 and released on interim bail by the High Court the following day. Both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the police have accused the actor of "irresponsibility," a claim that Arjun has denied.

The regular bail petition filed by actor Allu Arjun, who is named as accused number 11 in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, was heard on Friday. The police requested additional time to address the matter, leading the court to schedule the next hearing for December 30. Allu Arjun's Arrest
Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the incident and was presented before the Nampally court, which placed him in 14-day judicial custody. Shortly after his transfer to jail, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks, allowing him to be released on December 14.

As the Nampally court's 14-day remand was set to end on Friday, Allu Arjun appeared via video conference, citing security concerns and the need to avoid any inconvenience to the public attending the court.

A 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her eight-year-old son was injured on December 4 during a stampede-like situation at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, as fans jostled to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. In the aftermath of the incident, the city police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station, based on a complaint filed by the family of the deceased woman.

Since then, it has achieved net collections of ₹725.8 crore in its first week, ₹264.8 crore in the second week, and ₹129.5 crore in the third week. Despite a decline in collections, the film remains steady at the box office, even amidst competition from new releases like Baby John.
