Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia is sharing how her 2024 Golden Globes experience was allegedly "ruined" by her ex-boyfriend, Zach Bryan.
In the latest episode of the *BFFs* podcast, LaPaglia opened up about claims of emotional abuse by the country music star and revealed that she was asked to sign an NDA, which she refused. She also alleged that Bryan attempted to control her wardrobe choices and social media presence.
Reps for both LaPaglia and Bryan did not respond immediately to PEOPLE's request for comment.
LaPaglia recalled, "That was f----- crazy. That was the first time he really tried to control what I wore and what I posted." She went on to explain, "I went to the Golden Globes and posted a carousel of pictures, and he didn’t like my dress."
"He said he didn’t want to date someone who presents themselves that way. And then he unfollowed me—he unfollowed everyone—and when I flew home after the Golden Globes, he ruined my night," LaPaglia continued.
The influencer went on to share, "Everything good I did for myself, he made sure to ruin. He ruined my birthday, he ruined my tour, he ruined the Golden Globes. Anything Brianna did for Brianna, he had to ruin."
She added that on the night of the Golden Globes, everything was "going so great" until she sent him pictures. "At first, he was happy, but then it turned into, 'I can't believe you're wearing this… blah blah blah,'" LaPaglia recalled. "It ruins the night. I’m crying to Grace [O’Malley] the whole f------ night. He unfollows me because of the dress, tells me to delete all the Instagram pictures, and I’m like, 'Okay, yeah, I guess.' He makes me believe I have to change my image to keep up with his."
She expressed how she felt "twisted in the head" by the situation.
LaPaglia, who had previously said she was portrayed in a negative light, recalled how the "cherry on top" was seeing Bryan repost a picture of her from the Golden Globes on his Instagram Story. "He reposted that picture and said, 'You are so beautiful.' Meanwhile, behind the scenes, he was freaking out, unfollowing all of us, and unfollowing me. It was just such a tug of war with my emotions in my head."
LaPaglia and Bryan publicly confirmed their relationship in July 2023, and after dating for over a year, Bryan confirmed their breakup in October.
