Hailee Steinfeld has plenty to be thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend, as she and her fiancé, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, shared the happy news of their engagement on Instagram. On Friday, the singer-actress and her NFL star partner posted a heartwarming photo from their proposal, which took place on November 22.
The couple’s shared post captured the magical moment of Allen down on one knee while Steinfeld leaned in for a kiss. The beautiful backdrop featured a stunning array of flowers and a sunset over the ocean, creating the perfect setting for their special moment.
"♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️" the couple captioned the photo, marking the date of their engagement.
Steinfeld and Allen were first linked in May 2023 when they were spotted together in New York City. People confirmed their relationship that month, though the couple has kept their romance mostly private. Allen did address their relationship publicly during an appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast in August 2023, joking about the media attention they had received after a vacation together. “The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind,” he said at the time.
The pair made things "Instagram official" last summer when Allen posted a picture of them in Paris, gazing at the Eiffel Tower. A few weeks ago, Steinfeld and Allen hosted a circus-themed Halloween party, where they were joined by many of Allen’s teammates. Steinfeld shared a fun post from the event, with Allen commenting: "đź‘‘❤️."
Steinfeld has been on a break from music, with her last single, "SunKissing," released in 2023, following her 2022 collaboration with Anderson .Paak on "Coast." This year, she voiced the character of Hawkeye in the animated Marvel series What If…? and lent her voice to Vi in Netflix’s Arcane, which premiered a new season earlier this fall. Steinfeld is also set to star in the upcoming film Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler, due out next year.
